ACCESS CLOTHING

Thread Ahead runs regular events in London where we provide brand new clothes, accessories and toiletries, including period products.

Events are accessible via referral only. We do not currently have capacity to provide items outside these events.

If you are an individual with insecure immigration status looking to come to an event, please speak to a member of staff at your local refugee centre or any other organisation supporting people with insecure status.

Eligibility

Our events are open to anyone with insecure immigration status in the UK. This includes refugees, asylum seekers, those with limited or no leave to remain, and overstayers. Our services are not available to those with British or European citizenship. We work with a large range of referral partners, who assess individuals’ eligibility and need for our support.

We will never share information given to us regarding the immigration status of individual visitors with any third parties, including the Home Office.

Accessibility

We try to make our events as inclusive and safe as possible. We are open to all regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, religion or disability.

Gender neutral bathrooms are available at all events, and all have step-free access along with spaces to sit down. While we do not stock children’s clothing at present, our visitors are very welcome to bring children with them.
